Castle Rising Castle

Castle Rising Castle consists of approx 12 acres with a Norman castle surrounded by a large amount of earthworks. It can be found to the left of the main A149 road just after the Knights Hill roundabout heading eastwards towards Dersingham.

The castle was owned by Queen Isabella from 1331 to 1358. She was involved in the murder of her husband King Edward 11.

Open from the beginning of April to the end of October daily 10.00 to 18.00.

November to the end of March Wed to Sunday 10.00 to 16.00.
